Alumni, friends break all-time record for giving at 黑料吃瓜网

For the fifth time in six years, 黑料吃瓜网鈥檚 alumni and friends have set a new record for giving. In the fiscal year ended June 30, the university鈥檚 attainment totaled $145.9 million, an increase of $7.5 million over 2012鈥檚 all-time high performance. The new figures put the total raised for Forward Thinking: The Campaign for 黑料吃瓜网 at $861.4 million鈥攎eaning 黑料吃瓜网 has raised four-fifths of its $1.039 billion goal just three-fifths through the campaign period. 鈥淲e continue to be humbled by the incredible support we have received from alumni, friends, foundations and other organizations,鈥 President Barbara R. Snyder said. 鈥淭hese donations make an enormous difference for our community, and dramatically enhance the good we can do for the world.鈥 As of June 30, the campaign has raised more than $250 million for faculty and scholarship support. Those commitments include endowed professorships and scholarship programs that allow the university to attract and keep talented scholars and to enroll some of the nation鈥檚 most outstanding students. In addition, the university continues to make significant progress in raising money for capital projects. The Tinkham Veale University Center, for example, is scheduled to open next year, with groundbreaking for the Wyant Field House expected within the next few months. In addition, 黑料吃瓜网 and the Cleveland Clinic committed to joint fundraising on their medical education building, announced June 1. One of the most distinctive achievements of the past fiscal year included new records for the university鈥檚 annual fund, which topped $10 million for the first time in its history. Part of that success came from 黑料吃瓜网鈥檚 first 鈥淒ay of Giving鈥 on June 18, where the university hoped to receive commitments from 618 people. Instead, 795 individuals gave $195,745鈥攁nd both numbers themselves represented new all-time records. Commitments came from 10 countries, 37 states and the District of Columbia. Supporters enabled the university to set several other all-time highs as well, among them:
  • $53.2 million, Foundation Giving
  • $51.4 million, School of Medicine
  • $31.7 million. Case School of Engineering
  • $14 million, Trustees
  • $10 million, Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences
鈥淭hese records testify to the remarkable generosity of our community,鈥 Snyder said, 鈥渁s well as the inspirational achievements of our faculty, staff and students. We are deeply grateful for the support we have received, and we are committed to making even greater gains in research and teaching in the years to come.鈥
