Silent Disco: moCa'ture
Feb. 8
Get after-hours access to (Museum of Contemporary Art) Cleveland and make a fashion statement during Silent Disco Saturday, Feb. 8, at 9 p.m.
Three DJs—DJ Kyro, DJ Yulissa and DJ Zosimo Maximo—will give you something to dance to as you make your way through the museum with a special set of headphones. Not sure what to wear? Consider an outfit that screams “utilitarian couture” to fit with the event’s theme.
Tickets cost $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

“Back in the Dayz” exhibition opening
Feb. 7
Explore nostalgia at the ’s (CIA) annual Black History Month exhibition, “Back in the Dayz.” Featuring works by Black Scholars and Artists students, the exhibition will open with an event Friday, Feb. 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Ann and Norman Roulet Student + Alumni Gallery and the Mary Ann and Jack Katzenmeyer Student Lounge at CIA.
Featured artists explored Black personhood through the lens of developmental turning points, both big and small, in their upbringings. Their inspiration includes family relationships, musical influences, mental and physical environments, and more.
The exhibition will remain on view through Feb. 28.
Brite Winter

Who says winter has to be gray and drab? The annual Brite Winter event—first launched by a ϳԹ alumnus— aims to counteract the effects of Cleveland’s cold weather with a day of music and festivities.
Held on the East Bank of the Flats, the centerpiece of the event is the music, which spans genres and will be performed across multiple stages throughout the day. But there’s plenty more to do. Warm up and make s’mores around a fire pit, enjoy offerings from local food trucks, view works by artists and more.
