Garden(ing) Party: A (french) Toast to Spring!

COGS 377 (EcoPsychology) is joining the and to bring people to the market for a French toast breakfast fundraiser, volunteer work party, and more. All are welcome (students, staff, faculty, community members, kids/families).

Count as an Explore event for first year students. Co-hosted with the Cognitive Science Student Organization and the CCEL Saturday of Service program. 

 

Registration

Please . You can drop in without registration, but must register to ride our bus from campus.

If you'd like transportation, reserve a spot on the bus when you register

 

Transportation

Bus leaves Tinkham Veale University Center (11038 Bellflower Road, Bellflower side of Tink) at 10 AM and returns at 1PM. Look for students with signs. You must have reserved a spot on the bus (during registration) to use this option.

Activities

Support the market by purchasing a French toast breakfast. $10 gets you toast with Ohio maple syrup, cinnamon apples, and a beverage!* 

Help out in the gardens. Shoveling soil, planting, weeding, picking up trash, moving things. Wear appropriate footgear and clothes if you plan to take part.

Nature walks (meet local plants around the gardens), and other fun nature-related activities!

COGS 377 focuses on the benefits of connection to nature for physical, mental, and community well-being. 

 Provides access to affordable, locally grown farm fresh products to the residents of Greater Cleveland. 

: Mission is to utilize fresh local food as a tool to empower, educate, and cultivate health in communities across our region.

 

 

 

*Sorry, no options for vegan/ gluten free, though gluten free food can be purchased at a market vendor.
